SOME OBSERVATIONS OF INSTABILITY PHENOMENA IN GALAXIES.

Abstract

Phenomena suggestive of large-scale instability in galaxies were observed during the past 15 years at the Mt. Stromlo and McDonald Observatories. A few typical examples are described mainly from recent photometric and spectroscopic observations at McDonald Observatory. (Author)
