SPINNING UNDERWATER PROJECTILES,

Abstract

Cavity motion of blunt nosed underwater spinning projectiles is considered for that portion of the trajectory during which only the nose of the projectile is in contact with the water. It can be concluded that flat nosed spinning projectiles can be designed that will be more stable during underwater travel in a cavity than similar non-spinning projectiles. (Author)
