PATTERN ANALYSIS OF PLANAR GEOMETRIC CONFIGURATIONS.

Abstract

This report describes the results of a research study in pattern analysis and related topics. The study covered six separate investigations. These were (1) quantization of line-drawing data, (2) a mathematical model for contour maps, (3) the two-dimensional hidden-line problem, (4) the segment fitting problem, (5) the optimum two-dimensional allocation problem, and (6) a study of two-way communication between computers with interference delay. The report briefly summarizes the investigations and lists the publications resulting from the research work. (Author)
