THE QUANTUM THEORY OF FERROMAGNETIC RESONANCE, THE RESONANCE CONDITIONS OF AN ISOTROPIC FERRITE.

Abstract

The paper considers problems concerning the ferromagnetic resonance of an isotropic ferrite containing two magnetic sublattices, using the method of double-time Green functions. The magnetic susceptibility formulas and the resonance conditions obtained in the first approximation agree with the corresponding results of classical theory. The proposed theory is applicable in a wide range of temperatures. It also leads naturally to an expression for the probability of resonance transition of a spin system (a probability which is proportional to the intensity of the resonance line). Problems relating to the area of application of the theory and to the necessary corrections to be made in the neighborhood of the compensation point are discussed. (Author)
