STRUCTURE OF MATTER. FUNCTIONS OF MOLECULAR DISTRIBUTION AT VARIOUS TEMPERATURES IN A MONOCRYSTAL LIQUID ORIENTED WITH PARA-AZOXYPHENETOL,

Abstract

The radiation diffused by nematic liquid monocrystals was measured by diffractometry. The results obtained give an experimental function G(gamma) which is related with the distribution function f(theta) of the axes of the molecules by an integral equation. The function f(theta) was calculated at various temperatures for azoxyphenetol and corresponding degrees of order. (Author)
