PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT TEST REPORT OF ASTRONOMIC SURVEYING EQUIPMENT.

Abstract

This report covers the Product Improvement Tests of the following items: (1) 60 degrees Pendulum Astrolabe with Electronic-Transit Detector; (2) Strip Chart Data Recorder; (3) Electronic Chronometer; (4) Radio Time-Standard Receiver; and (5) Computer Programs for Astronomic Problems. Also included is a preliminary test report on the Kern DKM-3A Theodolite. The objective of this task was to re-examine the current astronomic position determination sets and to modernize and update these sets. This report concludes with a suggested equipment set for the field determination of astronomic latitude, astronomic longitude, and astronomic azimuth. (Author)
