THE EXPERIMENTAL PRODUCTION OF THIN FERRITE FILMS AND A SURVEY OF THE MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF THIN FILMS,

Abstract

This paper describes experiments which resulted in the production of thin ferrimagnetic films. The theories pertaining to the properties of thin ferromagnetic films and existing experimental data concerning the deviation of magnetization and other parameters of thin films from that of the bulk material will be reviewed. In conclusion suggestions for future study of the magnetic properties of thin films, in particular films of ferrimagnetic materials, are outlined. (Author)
