POISEUILLE FLOWS WITH BOUNDARY DISTURBANCES.

Abstract

Direct numerical solutions were obtained for steady Stokes flow in planar and axisymmetric channels with boundary disturbances. The flows with the disturbances considered, straightsided grooves in the wall or projections into the channel of various height to length ratio, show interesting (separated) recirculation regions.
