STANDARD LINE-BATTERY ASSEMBLY BB-610()/U NICKEL CADMIUM VENTED.

Abstract

This report covers the research and development activities which have been directed towards the design of a 12-volt, vented, nickel-cadmium battery housed in a reinforced fiberglass container, and capable of surviving four-foot, free-fall drops. Based upon our test results, certain modifications on the container were made, subsequently followed by a new series of drop tests. These test results proved out the acceptability of the new modifications, since no significant damage to the container was found at the end of 26 completed drops. (Author)
