SOME RESULTS IN DELAY-DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEMS,

Abstract

Significant advances in automatic control theory have utilized a powerful technique due to A. M. Liapunov, the so-called Liapunov's direct method. Recent extensions of control theory include time-lag control systems, that is, control systems described by delay-differential systems (sometimes called differential equations with past history). In such investigations the existence of periodic or almost periodic behavior is often of importance. Such investigations afford one possible application of the ensuing work. (Author)
