RELIABILITY ESTIMATION FOR MULTI-COMPONENT SYSTEMS.

Abstract

A system for obtaining point estimates and confidence interval estimates for very complex multi-component systems has been developed. This method was developed specifically to be used to estimate reliabilities of nuclear warheads where the redundancy of circuits and components complicate normal procedures of reliability estimation. However, the system is highly adaptable to any similar situation where access to high speed electronic computers is available. (Author)
