THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE COMPANY-GRADE OFFICER EVALUATION SYSTEM: A STUDY OF PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL

Abstract

The study suggests that the Air Force company grade officer evaluation system could be greatly improved if the appraisal tool were designed specifically for the position being rated, if performance and potential factors were clearly defined, if the coaching technique of counseling were made mandatory, and if exogenous influences were minimized.
