THEORETICAL CONSIDERATIONS OF THE STABILITY OF PULSATILE FLOW IN TUBES.

Abstract

Hydrodynamic stability theory is applied to oscillatory flow in a pipe. A criterion for stability is established, and an attempt is made to solve the resulting eigenvalue problem using an iterative numerical method. Because of nonconvergence the question of stability remains unresolved. (Author)
