COMPUTATION OF THE FIRST AND SECOND VERTICAL DERIVATIVES OF GRAVITY FROM THE MAPS OF GRAVITY ANOMALIES,

Abstract

On the basis of the solution proposed by Molodenskiy for his integral equation of density of a single layer on the physical surface of the Earth (the said layer being substituted for the attraction of all the anomolous masses in the interior of the Earth), expressions for determining the second vertical derivatives of the disturbing potential were obtained.
