THE STRUCTURE OF SHOCK WAVES IN AIR WITH ACCOUNT BEING TAKEN OF THE KINETICS OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS AND THE EXCITATION OF MOLECULAR VIBRATIONS OF NITROGEN,

Abstract

By numerical integration of the kinetic equations for the chemical reactions and the relaxation equation for the excitation of molecular vibrations of nitrogen, the concentrations of the components, density, and temperature of the air behind the shock wave front were calculated. The calculations were carried out over a wide range of air densities and shock wave velocities. The question of extrema of pressure and density in the structure of the wave was considered. (Author)
