Abstract

A review is given of work on3 metabolic models called (M,R)-systems; relational biology; the effect of environment on the 'metabolic' structre of (M, R)-systems; re-establishability of 'metabolic' components of the system; dynamical systems; and the mathematical 'naturality' of the concept of (M,R)- system.
