Abstract

Three major aspects of the article, Reflections on Latin American Development, by Professor Keith B. Briffen, are discussed: (1) Sources of past growth particularly with respect to the role of foreign investment; (2) the distribution of income as a reflection of class conflict; and (3) alternative possibilities for reform.
