HIGH TEMPERATURE GAS KINETIC STUDY OF CARBONYL SULFIDE DECOMPOSITION PERFORMED WITH A SHOCK TUBE AND QUADRUPOLE MASS-FILTER.

Abstract

A quadrupole mass-filter coupled to a shock-tube was used to study high temperature gas kinetics. The chemical kinetics of the thermal decomposition of carbonyl sulfide was studied with this apparatus in order to establish the mechanism of the reaction in the temperature range 2000 to 3200K.
