ASYMPTOTIC ANALYSIS OF THE AXISYMMETRIC VIBRATIONS OF SHELLS,

Abstract

The paper describes an attempt to apply asymptotic theory to a class of problems in shell dynamics, namely, finding the solutions for elastic, axisymmetric shells executing simple-harmonic axially symmetric vibrations. The purpose of the investigation is to obtain approximations to the general solutions of the governing system learn about the general properties of these solutions. (Author)
