THERMAL STABILITY OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS BY THE ISOTENISCOPE METHOD

Abstract

The thermal stability of some 45 different organic compounds was determined by the isoteniscope method. A mechanistic interpretation of the data is used to discuss structure-stability relationships. Compounds which appear to possess a high degree of thermal stability are the fluorooxetanes, arylsilylamines, fluoroalkyltriazines and fluoroaromatic compounds.
