THERMAL STABILITY OF ELASTOMERIC NETWORKS AT HIGH TEMPERATURES (WITH ADDENDUM ON SIB-2 PROPERTIES).

Abstract

Using a dry nitrogen atmosphere, stress relaxation experiments were carried out on poly(dimethyl siloxane) and an ethylene-propylene terpolymer. Relaxation times much longer than expected were observed, and plots of ln f(t)/f(O) vs time were linear in all cases. (Author)
