PERTURBATION METHODS FOR OBTAINING DIFFERENTIAL PHASE SHIFTS IN A CIRCUMFERENTIALLY MAGNETIZED FERRITE PHASE SHIFTER,

Abstract

The problem considered is the differential phase shift produced by a circumferentially magnetized tube of ferrite coaxially located in a circular waveguide operating in circularly symmetric TE modes. A general perturbational formula is developed for differential phase shift in waveguides containing arbitrary anisotropic media and is then applied to the stated problem. Numerical results are presented and compared to those obtained from an exact solution. (Author)
