TIME-SHARING OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT.

Abstract

This paper describes the operation of the Time-Sharing System now in use in the Research and Technology Laboratory of the System Development Corporation. The scope of the paper covers the operator's duties, plant layout, and considerations that operations managers should be giving to present and inherent problems posed by the new methods of computer operations.
