QUALIFICATIONS AND RELATED TRAINING FOR NAVAL RESERVE OFFICERS (1105) NAVAL WARFARE/OPERATIONS SURFACE.

Abstract

The memorandum reports on the development of qualifications standards and related training for the four sub-categories (Deck, Operations, Weapons, and Shipboard Engineering) of the Naval Warfare/Operations, Surface area. This phase of the research was limited to Naval Reserve officers designated 1105, not on active duty. These qualifications standards were developed in order that a professional development system could be established. The conclusion reached was that meaningful qualifications standards and related training could be established for each separate sub-category and for each grade from Ensign/Lieutenant Junior Grade through Captain.
