SCHLIEREN STUDIES OF ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCERS.

Abstract

Several ultrasonic transducers (used in the inspection of shell bodies) were examined by the Schlieren technique to determine the homogeneity of the radiated field. For 11 of the 15 transducers examined, the field was nonhomogeneous. (Author)
