ATTITUDES OF MARINES DURING FIRST ENLISTMENT.

Abstract

The attitudes held by enlisted Marines towards reenlistment, leadership, and their military organization were assessed after ten weeks of basic training again after two years of service. Two-year attitudes were positive in affect although somewhat lower in intensity than those held upon completion of basic training. Variations in attitude were related to pre-service educational attainment and occupational assignment in the Marine Corps. (Author)
