ELECTROCHEMICAL CORROSION STUDIES OF SNAP CONTAINER MATERIALS.

Abstract

Corrosion rates of Haynes 25, Hastelloy C and Hastelloy N in natural seawater were determined by galvanostatic polarization techniques. Values of approximately 0.01 mils per year were obtained for each of the alloys. No significant effect of aeration and solution stirring on the corrosion rates was observed. (Author)
