Abstract

This Annual Report of the Ship Structure Subcommittee to the Ship Structure Committee covers the activities of the Subcommittee and the research groups during the year since 1 May 1956. This report includes a technical summary of the research work during the year and an administrative summary of the personnel, finances, and operation of the program. The several appendices describe the status of all projects and groups under the Ship Structure Committee program. Appendix G presents the proposed research program and budgets for 1958 and 1959.
