7040 SIMSCRIPT: A CASE STUDY.

Abstract

A SIMSCRIPT program and a FORTRAN program, both written to implement the same vehicle-dispatching model on the IBM 7040 computer, are compared. Comparisons are made of program structure, requirements for computer storage, computer preprocessing time, computer execution time, and the incorporation of model changes. Appendixes contain information on the use of 7040 SIMSCRIPT. (Author)
