INTERSCORER RELIABILITY AND THE KTSA.

Abstract

Interpretive use of the Kahn Test of Symbol Arrangement (KTSA) requires that the scorer first make a series of decisions regarding the levels and quantities of abstraction associated with the verbal responses of a subject to the test objects. The assigned scoring categories were the subject of this study of interscorer reliability. The protocols of 181 patients were scored independently by eight experienced judges. Interscorer reliability yielded median phi coefficients for the nine scoring categories between .53 and .92. These coefficients were interpreted as corroborating the adequate interscorer reliability of the test. (Author)
