COMPUTER METHOD FOR WIND TUNNEL DATA ANALYSIS.

Abstract

A computer method has been developed to aid in analysis of static stability data from wind tunnel tests of symmetric bodies. A third-order least-squares curve fit is used to slope the test data and shift its origin to zero. The method provides a rapid, consistent means of analyzing test data with indications of quality of fit. This method is especially useful in extracting incremental effects of minor configuration changes. A copy of a computer program using this method is included. (Author)
