A METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE VULNERABILITY OF PARTIALLY DAMAGED WEAPON SYSTEMS TO RE-ATTACK.

Abstract

An approximate method for assessing the vulnerability of partially damaged weapon systems to re-attack is developed and is based on existing Monte Carlo techniques for evaluating undamaged systems. An illustrative example is presented, and the numerical results are compared with theoretical values derived for the special case of a system divided into five sections, each section having the same probability of being damaged.
