LASER-PUMPED LASER.

Abstract

The objective of the program was to investigate an approach to high-powered lasers which would result in lower thresholds than Raman type lasers (thus avoiding stimulated Raman and Brillouin complications). No encouraging results were obtained from this laser-pumped laser scheme which included the investigation of a reasonable cross-section of materials -- quinine sulphate, phthalocyanine, and methylene blue, representing three different types of families of molecules.
