THEORY AND DESIGN OF LINEAR ACCELERATORS: COLLECTION OF ARTICLES.

Abstract

The collection includes works on the theory and design of linear accelerators which were carried out at the Physical and Technical Institute of Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR in 1947-1956. These works investigate basic questions of the dynamics of accelerated particles, different accelerating systems, comparative analysis of them, design of the most effective systems. It was on the basis of these works that the proton and electron accelerators built and presently being built at the Physical and Technical Institute of Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR were designed.
