RESEARCH ON COMPLEX PERCEPTUAL MOTOR SKILLS.

Abstract

An apparatus was constructed which produces any selected correlation in the range -1.0 to +1.0 by mixing three random time functions. Three experiments, each using the same ten subjects, were completed using this apparatus. Thresholds for the perception of positive and negative correlations were obtained using both a two-choice and a three-choice design. A normal ogive is a satisfactory fit to the data. (Author)
