PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS - HOW GOOD ARE THEY.
Abstract
Extinguishers are of no value unless the people are trained in their proper application. The proper extinguishing unit undergoing evaluation is the operator plus the extinguisher--neither should be evaluated separately. There is an obvious need for more data showing the cost of extinguishers and their maintenance versus the benefits received. (Author)
