METHOD OF DETERMINING SAFE DISTANCES FROM RF TRANSMITTERS.

Abstract

A simplified method, based on the free-space radiation equation, for determining the distance from an RF transmitter at which a given field strength is produced is presented in this report. For the convenience of the man in the field, the solution to this equation is presented in the form of a nomograph and a slide rule. Instructions and examples for the use of these aids are given.
