TEST AND EVALUATION OF THE LIMITED-MOTION PEDIPULATOR.

Abstract

The report is a description of the test and evaluation of a full-scale, limited-motion pedipulator. The investigation determined the impact of important variables that affect operator performance and directly influence the design of functional walking levered vehicles. Results indicated: (1) operators were able to quickly and accurately position and balance the machine; (2) operators' retentions of learning were nearly perfect; and (3) machine-control response and other characteristics may be optimized in the design of walking levered vehicles.
