A COMPARISON OF THREE ESTIMATES OF KUDER-RICHARDSON FORMULA 20.

Abstract

Three estimates of Kuder-Richardson Formula 20 (KR-20) -Kuder-Richardson Formula 21 (KR-21), R-20*, and R-20' -were studied to determine which provided the best estimates of KR-20 reliability. For each of 40 U. S. Army MOS job proficiency tests, reliability was computed through use of KR-20, KR-21, R-20*, and R-20'. The regressions of KR-20 on KR-21, R-20*, and R-20' were compared. It was found that although all three reliability estimates correlated highly with KR-20, the R-20* formula produced coefficients that were most numerically similar to KR-20 reliability. (Author)
