AN INVESTIGATION OF THE X-RAY EMISSION OF SOLAR FLARES BY THE RADIO ASTRONOMICAL METHOD.

Abstract

The following conclusions are based on a study of the frequency dependence of the attenuation of cosmic radio noise during sudden ionospheric disturbances: (1) The spectral distribution of the X-ray emission intensity of flares varies for each flare; (2) some solar flares are characterized by an appreciable intensity increase of X-ray emission in the short-wave region (0.1-1 A).
