DE HAAS VAN ALPHEN OSCILLATIONS IN THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE OF TYPE -II SUPERCONDUCTORS.

Abstract

The report shows that the critical temperature T sub c(H) of a type-II superconductor exhibits dHvA oscillations with the usual period mu/omega sub c, where mu is the Fermi energy and omega sub c = eH/mc is the cyclotron frequency. The result includes electron spin and is valid even outside the Ginzburg-Landau region. It demonstrates the feasibility of observing the effect at low temperatures through the oscillations of the resistivity in the transition region. (Author)
