PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES FOR THE AUTOMATIC FLOW CHARTING PROGRAM FLOW2.

Abstract

Principles and procedures are described for the automatic flow-charting program FLOW2, developed for use with the IBM 7090 or 7094 computer to produce flow charts from the source decks of FORTRAN II, FORTRAN IV, or FORMAC programs or from special input decks. Program output is a magnetic tape for use with a General Dynamics SC-4020 plotter, or output may be punched cards by which a flow chart may be reproduced and modified according to the user's needs. Problems of block content, of block positioning, and of the routing of flow lines are discussed in the report proper, with more detailed procedures given in two appendixes. (Author)
