EXPERIMENTS ON NONLINEAR PLASMA WAVE INTERACTION.

Abstract

Non-linear interaction between waves on a low pressure mercury vapour discharge surrounded by a cylindrical wave guide was studied. The waves which were considered are all azimuthally symmetric. By proper choice of propagation direction and frequency of the primarily generated waves it was possible to generate both slow and fast waves by means of the non-linear interaction. (Author)
