INVESTIGATION LEADING TO THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF MAGNESIUM/MAGNESIUM PERCHLORATE BATTERIES.

Abstract

The report describes the significant accomplishments made on the research and development of magnesium/magnesium perchlorate batteries during the past quarter. A factorial experiment was performed to determine the effect of various cathodic blends (Mn02). Data concerning voltage and performance characteristics of magnesium/manganese dioxide cells at high, medium and low temperatures is discussed. Data concerning a grid selection study and a cost analysis of materials is also presented. (Author)
