A STATICAL FREQUENCY CHANGER FOR FEEDING AN ASYNCHRONOUS MOTOR WITH A VOLTAGE OF REDUCED AND ADJUSTABLE FREQUENCY.

Abstract

The operation of a direct statical frequency changer is described. The excitation system control conditions are pointed out for securing sinusoidal characteristics of output voltage; an equivalent circuit diagram of the changer is discussed, as well as the results obtained with a model design made of gas-filled thyratrons TG 3.2/1.5, and applied for driving an asynchronous motor rated at 3 kw.
