A SIMPLIFIED MEANS OF PROVIDING FIRST ESTIMATES TO LAMINAR HEARING RATES ON ISOTHERMAL AXISYMMETRIC BLUNT BODIES.

Abstract

An approximate method has been developed for the rapid calculation of first estimates to the laminar heat transfer distribution over isothermal, axisymmetric blunt bodies. Results of the method are compared with experimental data, first-order numerical solutions, and with values obtained from Lees' approximate scheme. In all cases fair to good results were obtained.
