A SELECTIVE REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE ON TACTILE SENSITIVITY: 1940-1965

Abstract

The literature from 1940 to 1965 concerned with the tactile sense has been selectively reviewed. The neurophysiological, psychophysiological, and communicatory aspects of the tactile system were considered. In each of the three areas, representative studies have been reviewed and current trends of research have been indicated. (Author)
