Abstract

The report contains a summary of the five major tasks performed during the one-year duration of the contract. The work performed consisted of: (1) a variable-precision floating-point package for the solution of problems requiring very high precision, (2) extension of and improvements to the software system developed under an earlier contract, (3) assistance in the implementation and validation of a LISP Compiler, (4) development of a program for powerful manipulation of symbolic text (TECO), and (5) specification of a set of generalized display routines for visual communication with the computer. All work done related to the M-460 research computer at AFCRL.
