RESULTS OF TESTS INVOLVING TRANSFORMATION OF GEODETIC DATA BETWEEN ELLIPSOIDS.

Abstract

The purpose of the tests was to determine the accuracy and the adaptability to electronic and machine computing of two formulas for transformation of geodetic data between reference ellipsoids. These formulas are designed for: (a) Transformation of latitude, longitude, and geodetic height. (b) Computation of changes in geodetic distance and azimuths due to transformation of coordinates.
