INFLUENCE OF RARE EARTH IONS ON FERRIMAGNETIC RESONANCE.

Abstract

The ferrimagnetic resonance of the tight exchange coupled system was discussed in the light of the correlation method (theory of Kubo). The resonance field, H sub o (or resonance frequency) and the line width 2 delta w of the ferromagnetic branch, and also that of the exchange, were determined from a general magnetic susceptibility tensor formula. Results indicate that so-called fast relaxation and slow relaxation are but two branches (the transverse and longitudinal) of the ferromagnetic resonance. (Author)
